For the first time in the 19-year history of the survey, geopolitical instability entered the top 10 global risks, growing rapidly from the position of 2023. Risk now sits with issues such as blockage, regulatory changes and economic recession, reflects increasing instability in business flow, supply chains and financial performance. This change suggests political risk, casual trade interruption and increasing demand for business credit coverage. Nevertheless, AON found that only 14% of organizations track their risk to top 10 risks, and use only 19% analytics to measure the value of their insurance programs.
