Let’s talk about the basics! Summer is here, and I’m thinking about all the knits, easy pants, dresses, and more I’ll be in! Let’s start with the above outfit which is easy and comfortable, yet interesting. I’ve been wearing these pants with this piped blouse and these sandals for years. The black and white palette makes it easy to mix and match with other shoes and accessories. I wore it today with this tote that I love. Now let’s talk about some other basics I can’t do without…
basic knitting // Knitting is the foundation of any summer wardrobe. I have a few that I love, but the top of my list would probably be this tank and this tee that I bought after complimenting it on a few girlfriends. I generally like my tank tops to be on the more fitted side and tees a little more casual. If I wear long sleeve knits, it’ll be this striped boatneck style or this open knit sweater. I ordered this extra skinny tee with a boatneck that I have been wanting to wear! Stay tuned!
easy outfits // Wow, this Florida heat is no joke right now, and easy outfits are a must. My current favorite knitted dress is this one. It’s a comfortable size, short without being too short, and I love the neckline. Since purchasing this, I have been considering this terry dress in this longer length and from the same brand! The other dress size I like is from HHH. I have both a midi and a mini and they are bra friendly, always come in cute prints, and I find the fabric to be just the right weight.
summer tops // I’m currently living in Zara’s frog fastening tops, like this one. The boxy shape and ultra-lightweight fabric make them perfect for humidity. They’re pretty straightforward, so if it’s not your thing, you’ll probably want to pass on it! I also love this short-sleeved knit top in two colors. Truth be told, on a very hot day, I usually choose knitwear over knitwear!
lovable bottom // As seen above, I’m loving the balloon pant trend! In addition to the above pants, I also like these and these. Of course, I also love the Colby Pant in all possible iterations. When I’m being super casual, I wear these. I love them so much, I got them in every color. I’m not much of a fan of shorts, but I think these are slowly changing me.
Simple sandals are all you need // I know, I know, I’ve posted these 100 times, but these sandals are the GOAT. They are equally simple and sophisticated. I have a lot of colors and I wear them at least once a week. Other sandals I would stand behind are these criss-cross sandals that I could walk for miles in, and these sleek flip-flops.
