The legend of Karna It follows Karna from his birth to Kunti and the Sun God to his upbringing in a charioteer’s house, placing his journey, loyalty and conflict with destiny at the center of the narrative. It presents him as a warrior whose skill with the bow rivals the greatest fighters of his time, even as the world around him questions his place due to his supposed birth.
In the trailer, the story revolves around a grand tournament where the princes of Hastinapura show off their skills. Karna enters a setting meant exclusively for royalty, a bold move that alters the destiny of the empire. From that point on, the series traces his rise from a humble village workshop to the royal courts of Hastinapura.

Sharad Devarajan, co-creator and showrunner, Graphic India, said: “We couldn’t imagine a better home for this journey than with our partners at SonyLIV and the incredible honor they are giving us. Karna has always been the tragic heart of the Mahabharata.”
“What the world denied him at birth, his own hands skillfully took, and that question feels more urgent today than ever. Does greatness come from where you are born or from what you do? The legend of Karna“We wanted to tell his story as it deserves to be told, as an epic saga of unwavering loyalty, unbearable secrets and a talent that shook the world, seen through the eyes of a hero who has always been at the center of the epic but never at the center of its narrative,” he added.
Highlighting key themes, Devarajan described the adaptation as a saga of “unwavering loyalty” and “unbearable secrets”, driven by “world-shaking talent”. He mentioned that the narrative directly addresses whether true greatness comes from one’s lineage or from individual actions.
Finally, he highlighted that the series aims to give the warrior the great attention that he was historically denied, presenting the timeless epic through the perspective of its most tragic figure.
