VERIFIED NM

NewsMobile investigated the viral claim and found that the image was artificially generated, with no basis in fact.

As part of the verification process, NewsMobile conducted a reverse image search and extensive keyword checks. The exercise did not yield any credible media reports, authenticated photographs or official publications to support the claim. None of the cricketers seen in the image have shared any such image on their verified social media accounts.

A detailed visual examination of the image revealed several anomalies commonly related to AI-generated content. These included uneven lighting, unnatural facial blends, and overly soft, synthetic-looking background textures, all strong indicators of digital manipulation.

To further corroborate the findings, NewsMobile ran the image through AI detection tools Sightengine and Hive Moderation. Both platforms independently marked the image as AI-generated, conclusively confirming that the viral image is fabricated.

In conclusion, the image purportedly showing Indian cricketers clicking a photograph of Mohammed Siraj during prayers is not genuine. It is an AI generated image that is shared with a misleading claim.
