Over the last one week, Telangana has been experiencing recurrent thunderstorms in several districts, including light to moderate rains in Hyderabad. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) attributes this to atmospheric disturbances caused by opposing wind systems and says the pattern is likely to continue until late May or early June, with a combination of high temperatures and periodic thunderstorms expected.

The IMD has forecast thunderstorms in several parts of the state between March 25 and 30, and intermittent activity is expected to occur during this period. According to officials, these periods are typical of the pre-monsoon season and are often accompanied by gusts of wind.
