Ravi Ghai is the grandfather of Saaniya Chandhok, a highly respected Mumbai tycoon who founded the Graviss Group. As president of the Graviss Group, Ghai’s portfolio reads like a list of hospitality heavyweights.
He owns the InterContinental Hotel on Mumbai’s Marine Drive, an iconic property he redeveloped from the former Natraj Hotel into a symbol of luxury hospitality. Ravi Ghai’s influence extends far beyond the hospitality industry: he has spearheaded brands such as Kwality and Brooklyn Creamery and introduced Baskin-Robbins to India and the SAARC region in 1993, bringing international flavors to local consumers.
Ravi Ghai is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Management and is known for combining international knowledge with Indian business instincts for decades. He is also famous for his deep knowledge of the market and his work with iconic brands and places.
He returned to Mumbai in 1967 and took over the business legacy. He continued his father’s legacy with Kwality Ice Cream, expanded the reach of the Gaylord restaurant chain and launched The Brooklyn Creamery to capture a younger, health-conscious market.

Saaniya Chandhok’s father Sunny Chandhok and mother Gaurika Ghai Chandhok are involved in the family business. Saaniya comes from a family rooted in Mumbai with a strong business presence in the hospitality and food services sector.
Saaniya Chandhok’s age
Saaniya, 27, was born and raised in Mumbai and belongs to a well-established business family with deep roots in the hospitality industry. He completed his studies in Mumbai before moving to London for his university studies. In 2020, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the London School of Economics. He subsequently completed a Veterinary Technician course, combining academic learning with practical training to support the venture he had already planned.

What does Saaniya Chandok do?
In 2022, Saaniya Chandok launched a premium pet care and wellness business in Mumbai. Later in 2024, she also completed her professional training to become a certified animal care specialist through the World Veterinary Service.
Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandok got engaged in August last year and with the celebrations already underway, the wedding promises to be one of the highlight events of the year.
