Why does Stefan Posch wear a jaw brace?
Posch hurt his jaw when he collided with a Jordan player during Austria’s 3-1 victory in the opening match of the World Cup.
He had to go to Los Angeles twice to get this brace fitted, according to the Associated Press.
Surgery was not necessary, the AP added after that first game.
Posch is a 29-year-old defender who plays for Mainz in the German Bundesliga.

He’s already had to defend himself against the likes of Lionel Messi and Riyad Mahrez with his jaw in his face.
The next step? Lamina Yamal.
