Former Inter striker Iván Zamorano maintains that Arsenal could be the “most striking” team in Europe, “but they are certainly not invincible.”
Inter host Arsenal at the San Siro tonight on matchday seven of the Champions League, and the Nerazzurri will be looking for a win after two consecutive defeats in the competition.
The Gunners, on the other hand, have won all six of their Champions League matches so far and are also top of the Premier League table.
Zamorano: Arsenal ‘is not invincible’

“They are a little more Spanish than English. They play very well, they keep the ball close to their feet with technical players, not just physical ones, and when they go to look for a goal they do it at supersonic speed,” Zamorano, former Inter and Chile national team forward, told Gazzetta.
“You could say they are the most striking team in Europe at the moment, but they are certainly not invincible. They have weaknesses and in recent games they have struggled a lot. Inter can hurt them, especially if San Siro lifts them up.”
Cristian Chivu said that Arsenal are currently among the two best teams in Europe, while Manuel Akanji has argued that the Gunners are “a superior team” but “not the best”. But where does Inter rank among the best teams in Europe? Are they at the same level as Arsenal or a step below?
Zamorano: Inter are not one step behind Arsenal

“Why a step down? Why are we still talking about that 5-0 in Munich? Enough,” Zamorano responded.
“Chivu has erased it from their minds. All great teams have bad moments; what matters much more is how you respond after such a strong blow. In fact, from that difficulty a better Inter was born, even in their way of playing, and that was not easy. The group has advanced towards Chivu without fear.”
The Nerazzurri are top of the Serie A table, but have not won any of their last 14 games against Napoli, Milan or Juventus.
“Winning against the teams you are fighting for the title is important, but if you don’t achieve it and stay on top, it’s not so bad, right? What matters is not losing the gap they have built with respect to the others,” said Zamorano.
“If you win the head-to-head matches, but not the others, then it’s better to stay as you are.”
