Trade rumors fly back and forth around Golden State, but in the meantime, the Warriors are still trying to cobble together wins. No Jimmy Butler, he left with a torn ACL. But they still have Stephen Curry, and that will be a great starting point against a physical Detroit Pistons team looking to dominate the Eastern Conference.

The Golden State Warriors welcome the runaway freight train from the East to Chase Center, and Dub Nation better buckle up. Detroit’s 34-12 record is no statistical mirage. The Pistons have a 5.5-game stranglehold on second place, and Cade Cunningham became their first All-Star guard since Allen Iverson tied them.

Now the Pistons have built something legitimately terrifying around Cunningham, who is averaging 25.3 points and 9.8 assists and looks every bit the cornerstone of the franchise they drafted him to be.

Golden State catches them after a rare stumble. Phoenix scored them 114-96 behind Dillon Brooks’ career-high 40 points, and I’m not sure what the hell that means. I never imagined Brooks scoring so many points on a defensive-minded team like Detroit.
