
ADAIRVILLE, Ky. – A man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop Sunday in Adairville, Logan County.
According to a similar citation, the Adairville Police Department observed a black Yukon traveling northbound on 431 South. Police say they initiated a traffic stop after noticing that the registration plate did not match the vehicle.
Police say they made contact with a teenage driver. Police say that during this time a strong smell of ganja was coming from the vehicle.
Authorities say an adult was in the passenger seat, identified as Robert Green, 34, of Hermitage, Tennessee.
Police say Green said he was teaching the teen to drive.
Police say after contacting the passenger side they learned Green was in possession of marijuana.
Police say Green was trying to “hide and destroy marijuana by eating evidence.”
Green was detained and later arrested.
Police say during a search of the vehicle they found marijuana in the center console.
Green was taken to the Logan County Detention Center and charged with no registration plates, endangering the welfare of a minor, drug paraphernalia – buy/possession, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence and failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, first offense.
