Apple has increased the prices of its products including Macs and iPads across the world including India. While announcing the price hike, which is 20 percent to 42 percent higher than their original prices, the tech giant cited the increase in the cost of memory chips as the reason.

“The rapid expansion of AI data centers has created extraordinary growth in demand for memory and storage. We have never seen the price of a component increase so rapidly,” Apple said in a statement.
The company said, “…we have now reached the point where we need to increase prices on a number of products, including today’s increases for iPad and Mac. We know this is not welcome news and we are working tirelessly to find a solution.” The price of the iPhone, Apple’s main source of revenue, remains unchanged for now.
