Gold prices fell on Monday as rising geopolitical tensions after failed US-Iran talks lifted oil prices, heightened inflation concerns and dampened expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate cut.In the domestic futures market, gold contracts witnessed a decline, reflecting cautious sentiment among investors tracking global cues and macroeconomic risks.The June contract fell Rs 943, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 1,51,709 per 10 grams, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) data showed. The August contract fell Rs 911, or 0.59 per cent, to Rs 1,54,285 per 10 grams.Bullion prices weakened amid a rise in crude oil prices after rising tensions in West Asia heightened concerns about persistent inflation and reduced the chances of near-term monetary easing by the US Federal Reserve.Gold prices in major cities today are as follows:
