The Saif Ali Khan starrer Kartaviadirected by Pulkit, will release on Netflix on May 15. Shah Rukh Khan, whose banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, produced the film, shared the news with fans on Thursday.

Kartavya tells the story of a police officer pushed to the limit while doing his duty in a morally complex world. Sharing the release date of the film on X, SRK wrote, “Kartavya ke iss chakravyuh mein, har faisla ek imtihaan hoga (In this labyrinth of duty, every decision will be a test). Watch Kartavya, available May 15, only on Netflix.

Netflix made an official announcement about the release date of the film, written and directed by Pulkit, on the same day, with a special poster showing Saif in uniform standing in a field with a bruised face.

Kartavia It follows a police officer, played by Saif, as he navigates increasing threats while dealing with the weight of his duty and the safety of his family. As the lines between good and evil begin to blur, the film unfolds as a layered exploration of power, guilt, and the consequences of silence, inviting audiences to question morality and the true cost of justice.

The film is produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainments. With its grounded setting, layered storytelling and powerful performances, Kartavia offers a compelling look at the fragile balance between duty and personal truth, leaving the audience to face the weight of each decision.

Apart from Saif, the film also stars Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Manish Chaudhari and Saurabh Dwivedi in key roles. The film will stream on Netflix starting May 15.
