Match 18, CSK vs DC – Code of Conduct
Nitish Rana, batsman, Delhi Capitals has been fined 25% of his match fee and has also accumulated 1 demerit point for violating Level 1 of the IPL Player Code of Conduct.
Rana was found to have breached Article 2.3 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which relates to the “use of an audible obscenity during a match”. The incident occurred on the 19th when Rana was involved in a prolonged argument with the fourth official.
Rana admitted the offense and accepted the match referee’s sanction.
