Nürburgring 24 Hours Schedule
The Nurburgring 24 Hours features one of the most diverse grids on the motorsport calendar, with over 20 classes (by comparison, the Le Mans 24 Hours only has three!). This year 161 cars will take part, making it the event’s largest starting grid in more than a decade.
Four-time F1 champion Verstappen will compete in the premier SP9 class, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 alongside GT racing stars Lucas Auer, Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon. Indian Arjun Maini also competes in the SP9 class, driving a Ford Mustang GT3 for the HRT Ford Racing team. Meanwhile, Akshay Gupta competes in the Cup 3 class reserved for the 982-generation Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
Qualification for the event is divided into six sessions. The seven fastest cars will make it to the final top 3 qualifying session, where drivers will fight for pole position.

The battle for the 2026 MotoGP championship continues in Barcelona. After winning the sprint and main races last time at Le Mans, Jorge Martín is now just one point behind his Aprilia teammate and overall championship leader, Marco Bezzecchi.
However, current MotoGP world champion Marc Márquez will not compete this weekend. The Ducati rider is recovering after successfully undergoing surgery on his right foot and right shoulder. Ducati has confirmed that it will not have any substitute rider for Márquez, leaving Francesco Bagnaia as the team’s only rider at the Catalan GP.
