I posted a Q&A box on IG and I received some great questions! To share in more depth I thought it was easiest to post the answers on the site. Before we go any further, below are some PSA announcements!
This set from Hill House, which was completely spoiled last year, is back and here in two new colors! She also added these chic pants.
Sex designer sale has started here. I’ve been eyeing this dress and these pants from one of my favorite labels and how fun are these jeweled raffia pumps?!
J.Crew has decided to start its Memorial Day sale early here. They have tons of accessories up to 40% off and tons of dresses up to 50% off!
You can use the code BLAIR20 for 20% off Lilly Pulitzer through June 5 here! Some exclusions apply. Check out this post if you need a little inspiration.
Q: How do you manage your wardrobe? What do you do with items you no longer need/want?
Answer: I feel like this question comes up in almost every Q&A I do! So, we actually don’t have that big of a closet in our primary bedroom and we are currently going through the process of working with someone to *eventually* convert one of the guest bedrooms into a larger closet. I’ve gone back and forth about this for years and have come to the conclusion that that space would be better used as a closet than as another guest room. We have other options for guest rooms, so we’ll still be able to host friends and family and I’ll finally have a place to more easily access all of my clothes — and possibly even film styling videos.
For all the things I no longer need or don’t have room for in my closet, I combine things. I gift to family members and friends, donate, sell The Real Real, or ship locally!
Q: Outfit ideas for wedding guests? Summer formal.
Answer: I love buying dresses for wedding guests. Some of my favorite formal ones right now are this one, this one, this one, and this one. If bright colors are your thing, I love this dress and this one too!
Q: Why do you never talk to the camera?
A: I love fashion and styling and I’m so lucky that being a creator is my full-time job. That being said, I have a complicated relationship with being online. I love sharing my outfits, but I start to feel uncomfortable when I feel like I’m sharing too much about myself or my life. Talking to a camera feels very personal so I haven’t done anything like that in over 15 years. I’m considering the idea of talking to the camera more and sharing more videos of the things I actively share, but I will continue to maintain a strict boundary between my online life and my personal life.
Q: Palm Beach girls weekend outfit ideas?
fun! Can I come? I love Palm Beach – but be prepared, it’s already hot here. I’ll focus on easy, versatile pieces that are still in fashion. Like this wrap skirt, which would be as cute as a striped T-shirt but can also work as a poolside cover up. This dress, which can be styled with a bow in the front or back, also caught my attention. When it comes to swimming, I love a great one-piece and this is on my list at the moment and perfect for a Florida weekend getaway. I’d pack some flowy maxi dresses like this one for dinner. I usually pack 1-2 pairs of shoes, so these gold sandals like these that can be worn with a maxi or swim would be perfect.
Q:Can you show me how much the Horse Mini Bag fits? I’m afraid it’s too small for me?

Answer: So the mini bag (buy it here) can fit my iPhone 16 Pro, a card case, keys, and a lip gloss! If this is too small for you I also have this bag and love it. It fits my phone, a Continental wallet, keys as well as a small makeup bag.
Q: Which body lotion did you post last week?
Answer: I have been using this Ultra Luxe Body Lotion recently, I love it!
Q: What made you move to Sarasota?
Answer: So, I’ve never really told the whole story. I often joke that we moved to Sarasota by mistake. We bought a house here in 2017 and renovated it for 2 years. It ended in December of 2019. We were living in DUMBO at the time and wanted to move back to Manhattan because Brooklyn wasn’t for us. In December of 2019 we decided not to renew our lease in DUMBO and relocate completely to Sarasota for the winter season. We planned to stay in Sarasota until March of 2020. We thought this would be a good time to settle in and decorate the house and then return to NYC in March and look for a new place in Manhattan. We didn’t tell many people that we were ‘moving’ because that wasn’t really the plan. We will be back in March. We thought. Also, we had to work in NYC during the months of January and February and came back to the city several times. Covid hit just a week before our flight back to NYC. Like everyone else, we didn’t know how it would play out. We felt grateful to live in a more spacious home with a pool and lots of outdoor space. As time went on, the possibility of moving back to NYC became less likely. We kept postponing our plans for three months and six months and then it was no longer our plan. We still talk about going back, but really enjoy the pace and space we have in Florida.
Question: How is Penny?
Answer: She is a very nice girl! I love it when people ask about that. This July will be our sixth year with him and I really can’t imagine life without him. I absolutely love dogs, but always felt like it was selfish to have a dog in NYC because we traveled a lot and were out for several hours a day. Living in Sarasota makes owning a dog very easy. Plus, my parent’s house is less than 10 minutes away from us, so when we visit we joke that Penny gets to go to their beach house. Penny also has big news to share – she’s got her first sponsored contract with one of her favorite brands. She’s booked and busy!
Q: Favorite initial pendant?
Answer: This is the one I wear most often! Lately I’ve seen a lot of creators I follow and I love wear them and I’m thinking about buying one for myself.
Q: How often do you shop online or how much time do you spend shopping each week?
Answer: I shop more than the average person because it’s part of my job, so I wouldn’t characterize my shopping time as typical by any means. I usually spend at least an hour per day browsing online and looking for things to style, new trends to highlight, sales that I think you all will love, etc!
Q: I saw a post with a beautiful Cézanne set. What sizes do you carry in the brand?
Answer: I believe you are thinking of this set. I’m usually a size 4 in Cezanne! For reference, I’m a size 0 or XS in J.Crew, US size 4 in ASOS, XS in Tuckernuck, and almost always a size 25 in denim. Hope that helps!
