Family Man season 4 will stream on Amazon Prime Video, just like the previous three seasons. While the makers are yet to announce an official release date, creator Raj Nidimoru confirmed in an interview with Variety India that work on the new season is already underway and writing is progressing rapidly.
Raj Nidimoru shares update on season 4
Speaking to Variety India, Raj Nidimoru revealed that seasons 3 and 4 were always conceived as one continuous story. He explained that although some viewers felt that the third season ended abruptly, the creators believed that the main story had reached a natural stopping point.
Raj added that only Srikant Tiwari’s personal journey was left intentionally incomplete because it was designed to continue in the next season. He said, “Only Srikant Tiwari’s journey was left unfinished because it naturally continued in the next season. So yes, we are writing furiously. We have to get to the second part of that story,” giving fans confidence that the next installment is underway.
The update comes after season 3 enjoyed huge viewership on Prime Video despite receiving mixed reactions over its ending. While many praised the performances and scale of the series, others were disappointed that several plot threads were left unresolved.
What happened in the third season of The Family Man?
The third season took the franchise in a new direction by shifting its focus to northeast India. Unlike the previous seasons, which largely revolved around terrorism and national security threats, the latest episode explored the political tensions surrounding the Sahakar Project, a government initiative aimed at developing the northeastern region.
The mission takes a dangerous turn after Rukma, played by Jaideep Ahlawat, assassinates key local leaders, creating a major crisis for the government. As Srikant Tiwari finds himself caught in the middle of the conflict, he must balance high-pressure national security responsibilities with his increasingly complicated personal life. Season 3 also surprised audiences with a crossover with Farzi’s Vijay Sethupathi character, further expanding the shared universe created by Raj and DK. The crossover became one of the biggest talking points after the show’s release and hinted at even greater possibilities for future seasons.
Cast and what Manoj Bajpayee said about his return
The latest season featured Manoj Bajpayee reprising his fan-favorite role as Srikant Tiwari alongside Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, Ashlesha Thakur, Vedant Sinha, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Gul Panag. Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur joined the series in important roles, adding new energy to the story.
Earlier, Manoj Bajpayee had also talked about returning to the character after long breaks between seasons. The actor admitted that returning to Srikant’s world is never immediate. According to him, it takes a few days of filming before reconnecting with the mentality of the character. He credited creators Raj and DK for helping him gradually adjust back to the role every time filming begins.
Although Amazon Prime Video is yet to announce a premiere date for season 4, Raj Nidimoru’s latest comments make one thing clear: Srikant Tiwari’s story is far from over. Stay tuned for more updates!
