TikToker Alina Amir has urged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to take action against a fake video of her circulating on social media.
In a video message shared on Instagram on Sunday, he said he initially remained silent for a week, but decided to respond after seeing posts falsely claiming his video had been leaked.
He criticized those who try to defame others and urged social media users to verify the authenticity of content before sharing it.
“I sincerely request Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz, sahiba “Take action against all these culprits who create videos of women to defame them and ruin their lives,” he appealed.
Amir praised the Punjab Cyber Crime Department for its work and asked authorities to take the matter seriously and ensure strict punishment for those who create AI-generated videos of women.
He said creating fake videos to defame someone amounted to harassment, noting that perpetrators were not only targeting actors, TikTokers or influencers, but also ordinary citizens, sending videos to their families and destroying their lives.
The social media influencer also announced a cash reward for anyone who provides information about the person behind the fake video, emphasizing that women should speak up and speak up instead of remaining silent.
