Performance

Both the Vivo V70 and V60 are built around the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. It comfortably handles daily tasks, media, and moderately heavy games without any performance issues. The V70 takes the lead in using LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, compared to the V60’s LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The Vivo V70 is only available in 256GB storage variants, while the older Vivo V60 is available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB variants.

For gamers and power users, both phones are capable of running popular titles like Call of Duty: Mobile, BGMI, and others at smooth frame rates. All in all, the V70 is a better choice in terms of performance.

Show

The Vivo V70 features a comparatively smaller 6.59-inch display, compared to the 6.77-inch display on the Vivo V60. Both phones feature AMOLED panels with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, delivering incredibly sharp and smooth visuals for multimedia content and gaming.

While both phones feature a maximum brightness of up to 5000 nits, the V70 offers higher brightness on HBM with 1800 nits, compared to the V60’s 1500 nits brightness on HBM. Overall, if you prefer a brighter and more compact screen, choose the V70. However, if screen size is your priority, go for the V60.

Camera

Both phones come with an identical triple camera setup, with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscopic telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. You can expect more or less similar image quality on both smartphones. However, the new V70 offers slightly better low-light performance and sharper night shots thanks to better optimization.

In terms of video, both phones record up to 4K video at 60 FPS, making them great for videography. So there isn’t much difference in camera quality, except that the new V70 could offer a more refined experience with better image optimization.

Battery life

Both smartphones also come with similar 6500 mAh batteries, so you can expect similar runtimes on both devices. According to Vivo, the V70 offers more than 40 hours of video playback and 11 hours of browsing, compared to the V60’s 22 hours of YouTube playback and nine hours of browsing.

Therefore, the new V70 is better optimized and could offer comparatively longer runtimes for daily use.

Final verdict

Choosing between Vivo V70 and Vivo V60 ultimately comes down to what you value most. If your priority is value for money with a large screen, solid core performance and long battery life, the V60 is still an excellent choice, especially at its lower price.

However, if your priority is newer software, better camera and battery optimization, and a brighter screen, the V70 is the better choice.
