Cyle Larin came off the bench to score Canada’s late equalizer against Bosnia and Herzegovina in their first match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Toronto on Friday.
Larin was replaced in the 76th minute by Tani Oluwaseyi and converted an assist from Promise David to restore parity in front of a packed crowd.

Larin is one of the oldest members of Canada’s squad at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The 31-year-old ranks second on the list for most appearances for Canada, tied with Jonathan Osorio, and is second on the list for most goals for the Reds, with 31 goals.
The striker spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Southampton, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists as the Saints reached the Championship playoffs.
