The second episode of the third season of “Euphoria” reached 8.5 million viewers on HBO and HBO Max in its first three days, matching the viewership of the season premiere.

Statistics for both episodes were measured by Warner Bros. Discovery and refer to viewership in the US only. WBD notes that Sunday’s episode outperformed the second episode of Season 2 by 32%; which reached 6.4 million viewers in three days. It should be noted that it aired in 2022 and “Euphoria” stars such as Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi have skyrocketed in popularity since then, so an increase in viewership is expected.

To date, the Season 3 premiere has jumped from its initial three-day tally of 8.5 million to over 12.3 million viewers in the US. The global total has surpassed 20 million viewers, a 68% improvement over the global audience reached by the Season 2 premiere in the same time period.

WBD notes that “Euphoria” season 3 is among the three most-watched HBO recurring seasons in the history of HBO Max as a platform, although no exact metrics were provided for that achievement. “Euphoria” has been the number one series on HBO Max worldwide since the premiere of season 3.

Along with Zendaya, Sweeney and Elordi, “Euphoria” stars Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Colma Domingo, Eric Dane, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Toby Wallace and more. The series was created by Sam Levinson, who executive produces alongside Ashley Levinson, Sara E. White, Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Mirit Toovi, Tmira Yardeni, Yoram Mokady and Gary Lennon.
