Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsman and wicketkeeper Angkrish Raghuvanshi had an interaction with a fan on the sidelines of the team’s practice session at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. Apparently, this was before KKR’s IPL 2026 clash against Lucknow Super Giants on Thursday.

The three-time IPL champions suffered a thrilling three-wicket defeat to LSG, registering their third consecutive defeat of the season and extending their winless streak to four matches in total, including an abandoned match against the Punjab Kings due to rain in Kolkata. Defending a total of 181 runs, Lucknow Super Giants held their nerve in a late thriller to beat KKR by three wickets, extending Kolkata’s winless streak in IPL 2026.
After three defeats and a no result, Kolkata Knight Riders find themselves at the bottom of the points table with just one point and have a net run rate (NRR) of -1.315, reflecting their poor start to the season.

In a video that went viral on social media, Raghuvanshi was seen returning to the locker room after the training session when he encountered a fan who seemed to demand his cap as a souvenir. However, the young wicketkeeper-batsman hilariously declared that he had “just one cap”, delivering the phrase with a smile that instantly left those around him divided.
“Brother, I only have one cap. It’s not like I can produce caps out of thin air. I swear on my mother, I only have one cap.” Raghuvanshi said.

However, Angkrish Raghuvanshi signed an autograph and took a selfie with fans before returning to the dressing room, putting a warm end to the joyous moment.

How did Angkrish Raghuvanshi perform in IPL 2026?
Angkrish Raghuvanshi is currently a leading batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the current season of IPL 2026. The Mumbai cricketer started his campaign with a superb 51-run knock against the Mumbai Indians at their Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, but KKR lost the match by six wickets.
This was followed by another fifty, scoring 52 off 29 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, but his effort went in vain as KKR were bowled out for 161 in their 226-run chase.
