New Delhi, April 24 (HS): Chennai Super Kings (CSK) crushed Mumbai Indians (MI) by 103 runs in IPL 2026, leading to significant changes in the Orange Cap and Purple Cap races.

Sanju Samson has moved up to third place in the Orange Cap race with 293 runs including two centuries in the tournament so far. Abhishek Sharma of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) leads with 323 runs while his teammate Heinrich Klaasen is second with 320 runs.

Shubman Gill is at the fourth position with 265 runs, Virat Kohli is at the sixth place with 247 runs and Rajat Patidar is at the ninth place with 230 runs. The next matches could change this classification even more.

In the Purple Cap race, CSK’s Anshul Kamboj regained the top spot after taking 1 wicket for 10 runs in 3 overs against Mumbai, taking 14 wickets in total.

Prince Yadav of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) trails with 13 wickets in second place. Ishan Malinga of SRH and Prasidh Krishna of Gujarat Titans (GT) share the third and fourth position with 12 wickets each.

The bowl race promises more excitement in the upcoming matches, with the top spots likely to change depending on performances.
