Lohia Corp is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of machinery used in the technical textile industry. The company mainly focuses on machines used for the manufacturing of polypropylene (PP) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fabrics and bags, commonly known as raffia segment. The company had a 15.4% share of the global raffia woven machinery market by value in 2024. It is also the market leader in India with a 40.7% market share by value in FY25, according to an industry report. The company had an annual installed capacity of 240 ribbon lines, 13,800 circular looms and 108,000 ribbon winders, as of March 2026.

Incorporated in June 2023, Lohia Corp took its current form following an agreement under which the technical textile machinery business of Lohia Trade Services Limited (previously known as Lohia Corp Limited), along with investments in five subsidiaries, was transferred to the company. As part of the restructuring, Kanpur Packaging Machines Limited was renamed Lohia Corp Limited, while the former Lohia Corp Limited was renamed LTS Holdings Private Limited. The company was originally founded in 1981 as a joint venture between the Lohia Group and Maschinenfabrik Starlinger & Co., Austria. The company launched its first product, circular looms, in 1983, followed by ribbon extrusion lines in 1984 through a technical collaboration with Windmöller & Hölscher, Germany.

The company manufactures ribbon extrusion lines, circular looms, coating and lamination machines, printing machines, converting machines, multifilament yarn machines, winders, monofilament extrusion lines, recycling machines and spare parts, making it a one-stop solution provider from concept to commissioning for customers in the raffia industry. The company operates six manufacturing facilities. Four are located in India: two in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and two in Bengaluru, Karnataka, while the remaining two are located in Burlington, North Carolina (USA) and Como, Italy. It also operates a live experience center in Kanpur where Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBC) are manufactured.

Domestic sales contributed 57.82% of revenue from operations in FY26, while overseas markets contributed 42.18%. Among overseas markets, MENA contributed the highest proportion of revenue in FY26 at 12.22%, followed by Asia Pacific (excluding India) at 10.37%, Africa at 7.93% and North & South America at 6.61%. Within India, Gujarat remained the largest market, contributing 13.16% of revenue from operations, followed by Rajasthan at 7.71% and Uttar Pradesh at 7.45%.

Among product categories, circular looms contributed the highest proportion of revenue at 33.28% in FY26, followed by ribbon extrusion lines at 20.30% and other machines and equipment at 17.03%. The order book also grew to Rs 1,358.52 crore as on March 31, 2026, compared to Rs 828.46 crore as on March 31, 2025. The company served over 2,000 customers globally in each of FY26, FY25 and FY24. Top ten customers contributed 12.63%, equivalent to 216.58 crore in FY26.

Capacity utilization improved in most product categories between FY24 and FY26. Utilization of ribbon extrusion lines increased from 29.58% to 49.58%, ribbon winders from 21.33% to 32.07% and circular looms from 21.07% to 39.82%. Bag converting machines continued to be highly utilized, rising from 81.25% in FY24 to 90.63% in FY26.

The global raffia woven machinery market is estimated at around $1,008 million in 2024 and is projected to reach $1,369 million by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 5.2%. The market in India is expected to grow to $242 million in FY30 from $150 million in FY25 at a CAGR of 10.0%. Recycling machines are another important focus. The company is looking for new opportunities as India’s recycling market is expected to grow from 9.9 MnT in 2023 to 23.7 MnT in 2032.

The company is India’s largest player and one of the world’s leading companies in the raffia machinery market. The global high-performance fibers market was valued at approximately $18.8 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8% to 10% to over $28 billion by 2030. The company also plans to strengthen its presence in converting and processing machines, while expanding into high-performance fibers and monofilaments.
